Iboga | Ibogaine
This page is intended to offer educational information for those who have previously participated in Iboga ceremonies and are now seeking support in integrating the experience.
Welcome, dear soul
If you’ve found your way here, I trust you’ve already met the powerful spirit of Iboga—a master teacher unlike any other.
This isn’t a page to convince or explain. It’s a soft place to land.
Because if you’ve walked with Iboga, you already know: this journey doesn’t end with ceremony. It continues in the quiet, raw, and tender unfolding of your daily life. And integration… is everything.
What is Iboga?
Iboga is a sacred plant teacher native to Central and West Africa, traditionally used in the Bwiti spiritual tradition. Known for its deep psycho-spiritual and physical detoxification properties, Iboga (and its alkaloid extract Ibogaine) guides individuals through intense inner journeys that reveal truth, clear trauma, and reconnect soul to body.
Iboga is not a soft medicine—it’s fierce, honest, and illuminating. It invites you to look deeply into your life story, your choices, your lineage… and then decide how to walk forward.
After Iboga: A Near-Birth State
Many describe the days, weeks and months after an Iboga journey as feeling newborn, raw, deeply sensitive. The world can feel louder, brighter, more intense. Old stories may dissolve. Emotions may flood in. Your nervous system might feel exposed. It is a powerful window—full of beauty, but also requiring deep care.
This is why integration is not optional. It is the bridge between insight and embodiment. Without integration, even the most profound plant medicine experiences risk becoming just stories. But when rooted and embodied, they become living truths—guiding your relationships, health, work, and creativity.
A Guide for Integration
Here are some supportive practices for your post-Iboga integration journey:
✍🏼 1. Journaling
Write daily—freely, without judgment. Let the pages hold what your heart is still digesting.
🐢 2. Move Slowly
Resist the urge to “figure everything out.” Avoid making big life decisions too soon. Let your system settle.
🔥 3. Daily Rituals
Simple rituals—lighting a candle, morning breathwork, a walk in nature—help anchor your body into the now.
🦠 4. Gut Health
Iboga works on a deep physical level. Support your body with nourishing, clean food. Consider gentle detox and probiotics.
🌀 5. Community
Connect with others who understand. Integration circles, safe friendships, or guided mentoring can bring grounding.
🎨 6. Creative Expression
Dance. Paint. Cry. Sing. Channel your experience through the body—this is somatic integration in motion.
💧 7. Hydration and Rest
Water, sleep, sunlight. Let your body regenerate. Let your system recalibrate without pressure.
